S2S Electronics Ltd and Fairford Electronics Ltd both have 20 years of experience in the soft start market. A new initiative sees the two companies joining forces to develop, design, manufacture, market and support soft starts in both UK and world markets.
Fairford will concentrate on the design, development, marketing and support of the combined range of soft start products, whereas S2S will concentrate on the manufacturing of printed circuits boards and the assembly of products.
From the 1st of July 2009, Fairford will take over responsibility for the sales, marketing and support of the S2S range of soft starts.
S2S customers will gain the benefit of working with a company purely focused on the design and application of soft starts. The full range of S2S products continue to be available, as well as access to an extended product range of Fairford soft starts. This gives the client an opportunity to ensure that the correct product is acquired to suit application.
Fairford have already expanded their team based in Kingsbridge, Devon, and Ian Fox will continue to support the combined range of S2S and Fairford products in the field.
Existing customers need not be affected as it is the intention to ensure that the transition is as seamless as possible. They will remain unaffected by the collaboration with relation to commercial matters and all existing commercial and financial agreements will be maintained during the transfer.
This collaboration will allow both companies to focus on their core strengths, and will mean that the whole operation from design right through to circuit board production and manufacture will be 'in house'. Subsequently the whole supply chain achieves an economy of scale not previously possible.
The venture will create a far stronger UK based soft start specialist that is able to provide specific application solutions and a higher level of service than that established industrial automation brands.
