The card is a retrofit replacement for old 3MC and 4MC Control Cards fitted to many Soft Starters as supplied by:

Bypass Contatctor / Thyristor Protection option.

This feature allows for unit to be either used with a bypass contactor for reduced heat or Thyristor protection to protect the starter.
